This leather dog ID collar is made from premium, full-grain 8-10oz Wickett & Craig bridle leather. It is among the highest end vegetable tanned leathers in the world. Located in Curwensville, PA, USA, Wickett & Craig is known for quality, durability, and rich finishes. The leather is drum dyed in a range of finishes then hot stuffed with waxes making this leather smooth and flexible with a waxy texture on both sides. The leather breaks in quickly and gets even better with age.
The O-ring is high quality solid brass and the leash is hand-stitched using the traditional saddler's method with Ritza Tiger Thread in a color that coordinates with the leather. The edges are meticulously beveled and hand-burnished with Japanese Tokonole and premium edge paint that matches the leather color making the edges round and smooth. The result is a beautiful, soft, and durable leather leash that will last a lifetime.
This ID dog collar includes your dog's name and your phone number in a dye color of your choice. It is still perfect for hanging other medical tags on so you can use multiple different collars and harnesses without worrying about changing the tags. It is also nice for long-coated dog breeds to have a thin collar for identification purposes which will not break their coat. I would not recommend attaching a leash to this collar for walking since the dog can easily slide out of it and because it is too thin to evenly disperse their weight when pulling.

Sizing: This collar is designed to slide on and off of your dog's head. Measure the circumference around the largest part of your dog's head and under the chin using a cloth measuring tape or string. Make sure the string is tight, but can still go over their head and fit comfortably on their neck. You may leave a note during checkout about a half-measurement (example: 12.5"). Do not add any length to the measurement, I will add length to ensure a comfortable fit. If your dog has a very large neck, please include the neck measurement as well in your notes during checkout for a better fit.
Care: The dye I use is sealed and specifically for dying leather, but I still do not recommend submerging this collar under water. If the collar does get soaked with water, remove from your dog and let dry.
