This leather dog leash is made from premium, full-grain 8-10oz Wickett & Craig bridle leather. It is among the highest end vegetable tanned leathers in the world. Located in Curwensville, PA, USA, Wickett & Craig is known for quality, durability, and rich finishes. The leather is drum dyed then hot stuffed with waxes making this leather smooth and flexible with a waxy texture on both sides. The leather breaks in quickly and gets even better with age.
The swivel snap is high quality solid brass and the leash is hand-stitched using the traditional saddler's method with Ritza Tiger Thread in a color that coordinates with the leather. The edges are meticulously beveled and hand-burnished with Japanese Tokonole and premium edge paint that matches the leather color making the edges round and smooth. The result is a beautiful, soft, and durable leather leash that will last a lifetime.
The leash is 3 feet in length.
Recommended widths: 3/8" = up to 40 pounds 1/2 = up to 60 pounds 5/8" = up to 90 pounds 3/4" = 90+ pounds
If you need a leash to compete in obedience or confirmation, or if your dog is very well trained, then you can size down in width.
Simple but beautiful leash for a high-class lady like my Golden. The tan of the leash and color are exactly the same (my collar just needs cleaned😅) and the leash feels adequate in hand for proper training and handling.
